Gillian Ridgeway founded Who’s Walking Who Dog Training Centres in 1989.

At Who’s Walking Who, our training philosophy has always been rooted in Positive Reward-Based Training—a method that encourages good behavior by rewarding success, creating lasting results and stronger bonds between dogs and their humans.

The foundation of this approach was established by Gillian Ridgeway, the original founder of Who’s Walking Who and a pioneer in modern dog training. Gillian dedicated her career to helping dogs and their owners build better relationships, and her influence still guides our methods today.

In 2018, Gillian passed the torch to Lynda Kitson, who carried on that vision with the addition of Games-Based Concept Training, inspired by Absolute Dogs in the UK. This innovative approach brings joy and play into training, helping dogs develop real-life skills through strategic games.

Now under the leadership of Jana Seymour, Who’s Walking Who is entering a new chapter—one that blends tradition with innovation. Jana brings decades of experience in dog training, learning design, and community leadership. Her focus is on empowering dog owners, fostering connection, and creating supportive spaces for both people and their pups to thrive.

While our leadership has evolved, our mission remains the same: to help both ends of the leash live their best lives together.
