Schedules: Advanced Skills

* Classes will be postponed on any stat holidays or the weekends of a stat holiday, and resume the following week.

Life Skills

This is the next progression after Level Up and will really test your dog's ability to conduct themselves in a manner which is reliable and trustworthy in situations encountered in everyday life around people, at home, in public, or in the presence of other dogs. If you're thinking about getting your dog their Canine Good Neighbour or Dog Therapy Certificate, this program includes the exercises that your dog needs to master and will also prepare your dog for Novice Level Obedience trialing, if that's your goal.

This is a highly advanced class that works on emergency stays, door deliveries, door etiquette, walking past food at nose level, “L” shaped heelwork, distance downs, supervised isolation, long sits and downs, recall, crowds, noise, and more. This program tests your dog's ability to perform these skills and will give you insight into what you may need to work on with your dog in order for them to be successful.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not a CGN or Dog Therapy testing site. This course is designed to help prepare dogs & owners for the CGN and Dog Therapy test. Information regarding testing sites can be found online through the CKC website, & Therapeutic Paws of Canada.

IMPORTANT: Not all courses are the same. If you have taken an “equivalent” course elsewhere, we will assess your dog on lesson 1 to determine if they are ready for this program.

PLEASE BE SURE TO SELECT THE CORRECT LOCATION. Click on the column titled LOCATION to sort the classes by location.

Stress Free Walks

Why is it so hard for our dogs to walk nicely with us? Because it’s just not fun! Squirrels are fun, rabbits are fun, things that move are fun! Another dog coming towards them maybe fun or may be worrying. It’s all a question of what your dog is reacting to. Is it the environment or you? The goal is that they react to you instead of what’s happening around them.

In this 6 week program, we'll give you the tools and knowledge through games based concept training so that we create more stress free walks! This program works on disengagement from the environment, engagement with you, value in proximity, focus on you, flexibility, confidence (this is one many dogs lack and the reason why they react to other dogs while out on a walk), optimism and more. The games work on reshaping your dog's brain so they want to hang out with you instead of the environment. We'll also share with you the science behind how and why the games work to produce real-life results.

If you Select a class that is marked CLASS FULL, you will be put on a wait list.

Is your dog currently class with us? Be sure to put in the Notes section of the Registration Form “Currently in class, Early Signup Reward please.” to get 10% off the price of this class.

Off Leash Freedom

Wouldn't it be great if your dog chose to constantly check-in with you rather than having to call them to come? Wouldn't it be great if your dog chose to hang out with you within a 50 ft radius rather than taking off and then not coming when you call them?

In this 6 week class we'll give you the tools and knowledge through games based concept training so that your dog learns to make great choices. We'll also share with you the science behind how and why the games work to produce real-life results.

This program works on work on disengagement (being able to be recalled off of something), engagement with you (checking in voluntarily), working in arousal (being able to disengage from something exciting or in the distance), value in proximity (not taking off into the abyss) and more. This course works on reshaping your dog's brain so they don't venture far from you and constantly check back in.

If you Select a class that is marked CLASS FULL, you will be put on a wait list.

Rally Obedience Novice Level 1

Rally will take your dog’s obedience skills to the next level, in a fun way. Rally is about teaching your dog to do various commands while remaining in heel position. Novice Level 1 works on the foundation skills needed to complete in Rally Obedience. But many people take this course just to improve their dog’s loose leash walking skills.

One of the best things about Rally is that it keeps your dog constantly engaged with you. Some of the obedience skills they learn are pivots, moving into front, weaving through pylons, slow pace, fast pace, spiral right, spiral left, walk around, 270 turns and more.

This class is great for all breeds of all ages. It's especially good for seniors as it exercises their brain and body.

Once you have completed Rally Obedience Novice Level 1, you'll be ready for Level 2.

If you Select a class that is marked CLASS FULL, you will be put on a wait list.

Is your dog currently class with us? Be sure to put in the Notes section of the Registration Form “Currently in class, Early Signup Reward please.” to get 10% off the price of this class.

Rally Obedience Novice Level 2

If you have completed Rally Obedience Novice Level 1, then you are now ready for Level 2!

In level 2, we start to build courses, starting with sequencing a small number of stations and gradually building to a full course.

Whether or not you plan to trial, this program will further improve your dog's loose leash walking, focus, flexibility and listening skills.

Please do not register for this program if you have not take Novice Level 1 as we do not teach the station signs in this program. You are expected to already be proficient at them.

If you Select a class that is marked CLASS FULL, you will be put on a wait list.
