Schedules: Agility

* Classes will be postponed on any stat holidays or the weekends of a stat holiday, and resume the following week.


Agility Level 1


This class is held at a fully fenced outdoor facility.

Building on the skills developed in our sports prep classes, this course will focus on introducing the dog and handler team to foundation contact equipment skills (A-Frame, Dog Walk, See-Saw), progressing jump and weave poles skills, and introduction to the tire, broad jump and tunnel. Teams will also begin developing handling skills to navigate short tunnel and jump sequences (3-5 obstacles)

This course is open to teams who have completed Sports Prep Level 1, and can be taken more than one to improve overall skill level. Assessments are available for teams who have completed an agility foundations course elsewhere.

Dogs need good off leash control, and be able to work around and disengage from other dogs. Please bring a mat, elevated bed or crate for your dog to rest in when not working on equipment.

Spectators are allowed to observe, but they must remain outside of the fenced training area. Please feel free to bring a chair.

Prerequisite: Sports Prep Level 1 or Agility Foundations course taken elsewhere. Dogs need good off leash control, and be able to work around and disengage from other dogs.

Agility Level 2


This class is held at a fully fenced outdoor facility.

Building on Agility Level 1 skills, this level will focus on progressing to longer sequences, improved and advanced handling skills, begin learning distance skills and the basics of course analysis. In this level, teams will continue progression of weave pole training, and finessing contact equipment performance.

This course is open to teams who have completed Agility Level 1. and can be taken more than once to improve overall skill level. Assessments are available to teams who have taken agility classes elsewhere. Dogs must be able to navigate short jump and tunnel sequences of 4-5 obstacles, and be comfortable on full height dog walk, A-frame and low seesaw.

Please bring a mat, elevated bed or crate for your dog to rest in when not working on equipment.

Spectators are allowed to observe, but they must remain outside of the fenced training area. Please feel free to bring a chair.

Prerequisite: Agility Level 1 or equivalent agility course taken elsewhere.

Agility Level 3


This class is held at a fully fenced outdoor facility.

This course is designed for teams who are ready to progress to running full sequences, and sequences of increased challenge, develop and improve advanced handling skills and learn to play the agility games. Ongoing support will also be provided at this level for those who wish to compete, or have been competing in Agility Trials.

This course is open to teams who have completed Level 2 Agility and to dog and handler teams who have begun active trialing. Assessments are available to teams who have taken equivalent agility classes elsewhere.

Please bring a mat, elevated bed or crate for your dog to rest in when not working on equipment.

Spectators are allowed to observe, but they must remain outside of the fenced training area. Please feel free to bring a chair.

Prerequisite: Agility Level 2 or equivalent agility course taken elsewhere.
