Sports Prep Level 1 Are you thinking about taking Agility or doing other sports with your dog? Maybe you’re looking for a conditioning program for your companion dog? It is specifically designed to help your dog develop the foundation work and core conditioning needed to participate in sports, while improving their fitness, and helping to prevent injury. In Sports Prep Level 1, we will work on warm-up exercises, core conditioning, balance work, intro to weaves, targeting, cone wrapping, low level jumps, and more, all with your dog’s safety in mind. Sports Prep is also a great alternative to outdoor exercise for your dog, especially during the winter, while helping them maintain a healthy lifestyle. Building on the skills developed in our Sports Prep class, this course will focus on introducing the dog and handler team to further develop their contact equipment skills, progressing jump and weave poles dexterity, and introducing them to the tunnel. Teams will also begin developing handling skills to navigate short tunnel and jump sequences (3-5 obstacles) This course is open to teams who have completed Sports Prep Level 1 and can be taken more than once to improve overall skill level. Assessments are available to teams who have taken agility classes elsewhere.
